Nate Buchheister, MSOTR/L |
Nate earned his Masters of Science in occupational therapy from Towson University in 2018. His primary professional experience is within a nonpublic school setting, working with children/young adults with a range of developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Angelman’s syndrome and sensory processing disorder. Regardless of age/diagnoses, he is passionate about helping his clients expand their skills, interests and confidence through a strengths-based approach to therapy. He is a firm believer in remaining client centered, tailoring therapy to target what is most meaningful to the child and family.
Nate and his family moved to his wife’s hometown in Sisters, OR after living in Baltimore, MD for 6 years. While he was born and raised in Maryland, he has adapted quite nicely to the abundance of outdoor activities and sunny weather in Central Oregon. He is a kid at heart, and works hard so that he can play hard. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, mountain biking, chasing his daughter around the park, and spending quality time with his family.
