Krysta Ivens, PCA
Krysta is originally from the PNW and completed an undergraduate degree in counseling before moving to Ohio University to complete a Masters in clinical mental health counseling with added courses in clinical rehabilitation counseling. Since graduating, Krysta returned to her PNW roots and has experience in therapeutic boarding schools, short term residential programs, as well as pediatric outpatient care.
Krysta believes that each child has the capabilities to be successful when given the opportunity and follow a strength based approach emphasizing the value and ability of all children to progress toward optimum mental health. We recognize each student and family is unique, and I strive to meet their distinctive developmental needs via cognitive behavioral, social learning, family systems, attachment, and solution focused approaches. She currently is co-developing and leading a BH/OT co-treatment program, ASPEN, with a focus on parent education and family relationships. When not working Krysta enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking her dog on adventures around Central Oregon. |
