Aquatic Therapy

Coming to our Redmond Location October 2022!
Physical and Occupational Therapists, as well as Behavioral Health Therapists provide aquatic therapy treatment for children of all ages and various diagnoses. Some diagnoses that can benefit from aquatic therapy are CP and other neurological disorders, Developmental Delay, Autism, General Weakness or Neuromuscular Diseases, etc.  Aquatic therapy addresses a variety of specific needs, including muscle strengthening and flexibility, body awareness and coordination, respiratory and circulatory function, head and trunk control, sensory integration and attention, self-esteem, social interactions and motivation.  Therapists use numerous aids to ensure safety or improve efficiency of activities in the water such as flotation devices, pool noodles, kick-boards, ankle or wrist weights, steps and, of course, toys!
