Christen is the founder and executive director of Treehouse Therapies. She has 20 years of experience as a pediatric physical therapist. She has worked in various treatment settings, including private practice, hospital, home, and school settings. She also has experience with aquatic and hippotherapy. Christen earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon. She continues to actively participate in continuing education workshops and trainings. Some of the trainings she has completed include; Neurodevelopmental Treatment Approach to Baby Treatment, Neurodevelopmental Treatment Approach in a School Setting, Pediatric NDT Gait, Neurotheraputic and Sensory Techniques for the Special Needs Client, Brain Development in Early Childhood, Concepts and Guidelines in Baby Treatment, as well as specialized courses in idiopathic toe walking and the treatment of torticollis and plagiocephaly.
