Our scholarship fund
The mission of Treehouse Therapies is to positively impact children, families and our community by providing compassionate, comprehensive, and affordable therapy programs for all children, regardless of their insurance or financial limitations. We provide physical therapy and occupational therapy services to children in Central Oregon based on their needs. Our services enable children with disabilities and delays in development to fully participate in the activities of childhood, such as crawling, walking, playing, eating, writing, getting dressed, communicating, making friends, and functioning at home and school. We want Central Oregon to be a place where all children can succeed, regardless of developmental or financial obstacles.
Before Treehouse Therapies opened, there were very few options for pediatric therapies in Central Oregon. Families seeking treatment often faced the following barriers: lack of coordinated multidisciplinary care, other clinics' refusal to accept Medicaid insurance, being turned away or placed on hold due to insurance limitations. Over 50 percent of children with disabilities in central Oregon have Medicaid insurance. Other clinics deny or limit the number of Medicaid clients due to reimbursements that are below the cost of providing treatment. At Treehouse Therapies, not only do we accept and bill all insurance plans including Medicaid, but we have established a scholarship program for families in need so that no child is turned away or placed on hold simply because of limited insurance coverage or financial means. Approximately 50 percent of our current case load have Medicaid insurance and we provide more than 25 hours of free therapy each month to children with limited financial means or lack of insurance coverage.
If you feel your family is unable to pay for therapy through various means, please talk to your therapist, then your therapists will present your case for scholarship to the board, and the board will make a decision based on the whole picture of your situation.
Donations can be made to the Anabelle Wilson Scholarship Fund via mail. Please send your generous donation to P.O. Box 1397, Bend, OR, 97709.
