Roxy graduated from California State University, Chico with a Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Sport Psychology. This included studying adapted physical education, biomechanics, motor development, counseling and psychology, and coaching. While managing a physical activity program for college students with depression at Chico State, Roxy dedicated her time to training other universities across the US who wanted to create a program for students in need of mental health resources. Along with training, she created a step-by-step instructional manual for other universities to replicate her process.
Post grad school, Roxy took her manual and moved to Oregon to start a wellness coordinator position she created for a local independent living program for young adults. Her focus was on wellness education, health management, and exploring her clients’ relationships with food, movement, and body image. She is an advocate for Health at Every Size and follows an intuitive eating framework that supports an inclusive, holistic, and personalized approach to health and wellness. After 3 years in Bend, Roxy and her husband relocated to the north coast of California where she held positions in personal training, adapted physical education, parent coaching, social services, and program consulting. During the pandemic Roxy and her husband decided to return home to Bend to officially put down roots.
Roxy joins Treehouse Therapies as a Program Developer and Care Coordinator. Roxy is passionate about providing support for our families and ensuring they feel seen, heard, comforted, and connected when receiving services from our clinics and the community.
Outside of Treehouse Therapies, Roxy enjoys mountain biking on local trails and exploring bike parks around the world with her husband, getting her hands dirty with a DIY home project, and hiking with her dog, Cali.
