Alex Wilson
|

Alex was born and raised in southern California and regularly visited family in Oregon as a kid. After High School, she was a medic in the Army National Guard and spent time doing nursing pre-requisites at Cal State San Bernardino. She moved to Bend in 2010 when she was pregnant with her daughter, Anabelle.
When Anabelle was young, Alex stayed at home with her and after a typically developing childhood, at around 18 months old, Anabelle started to lose some of the milestones she had gained. When Anabelle was two she was diagnosed with a devastating neurological disease called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy and progressively lost the ability to do any of the things a typical two year old could. That's when Alex met the team at Treehouse Therapies. Alex grew to love the work that Treehouse does and what they stand for. When a position became available for Alex to work as an office administrator for Treehouse Therapies with Anabelle by her side, she didn't hesitate to help. Anabelle unfortunately passed in 2017 but her legacy lives on through Treehouse Therapies and the work Alex is able to do there.
Alex recently graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology at OSU Cascades and plans to further her education in Social Work and become a grief counselor to families with children with special needs. Giving back to Anabelle's community is a true passion of hers. When Alex isn't at work or in school, you can find her on an adventure around Central Oregon with her dog Mae.
